For two decades, the Brigate Rosse in Italy used kidnappings, weapons dealing, drug smuggling, bank robbing, and associations with the Camorra, the Italian mob which originated around Naples, in order to fund their brand of terror. Their most dramatic kidnappings were of five-time former Italian Prime Minister Aldo Moro and NATO officer Brigadier General James Dozier.
