
On this day in 1938, the Kindertransport arrived in the UK. Three weeks prior, Kristallnacht saw the SA vandalize Jewish businesses and synagogues in Nazi-controlled areas. Acting quickly, the British Parliament authorized some 10,000 German, Polish, Czech, and Austrian Jews under 17 years of age to enter the country.
